Topeka, KS–The Monroe University men's indoor track and field team will compete at the NJCAA Division I National Championships on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
The Mustangs will bring 12 athletes across thirteen events (five men and seven women) to Kansas. On the men's side, freshmen Shaquane Toussaint and sophomore Modou Sanneh lead the Monroe men into the championships. On the men's side, freshman Shaquane Toussaint will appear in two individual events (200m and 400m), sophomore Modou Sanneh will appear in the 400m, Emilio Bishop will appear in the 60m, Yassine Rahoui will appear in the 800m and Boitshepo Mashilo will appear in the 1000m.
The full Friday schedule is as follows, with placement in these events determining the Saturday schedule to be released soon.
5:10 pm - 60m – Emilio Bishop
5:40 pm – 400m – Modou Sanneh and Shaquane Toussaint
6:20 pm - 800m – Yassine Rahoui
6:55 pm - 200m – Shaquane Toussaint
7:35 pm - 1000m – Boitshepo Mashilo
