About Monroe University Athletics

Monroe University competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Conference is comprised of 12 schools throughout Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut.

The Mustangs sponsor 18 intercollegiate athletic teams. In the fall, Monroe offers men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, football and women's volleyball. The winter season has men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, and men's volleyball, while the spring consists of  baseball, women's softball, and men's and women's outdoor track & field. The Mustangs also offer JV men's basketball, JV men's soccer, and JV baseball.

The Athletic Department at Monroe University emphasizes the development of the total individual; the student as well as the athlete. It is essential that all student-athletes to be provided with the direction, assistance, and guidance needed to reach their goals in the academic, athletic and social aspects of college life with a particular commitment to excellence. 

The Athletics Department fosters an environment that encourages degree completion, good citizenship, character and personal growth, while developing student-athletes who are positive role models and productive members of society. The Department maintains a strong commitment to the principles of fiscal responsibility, gender equity, diversity, and sporting conduct among its coaches, administrative staff and student-athletes.
