Insurance
With the rising costs of providing quality health care, we must offset these costs by billing primary insurance carriers for all physician prescribed rehabilitation and medical treatment services rendered in the Monroe University Athletic Training Room. Appropriate medical services will be billed by the university's Orthopedic Physician and their Athletic Training Clinicians. This insurance reimbursement will facilitate a continuation of quality health care services and ensure elite therapeutic exercise and modality services. This change will not put a financial burden on yourself or your student-athlete. Any out-of-pocket expenses that are to be paid by you,
will be paid by Monroe University. Please note with the changes in the healthcare legislation, your premiums will not go up due to these types of claims, nor will your student-athlete be negatively impacted and labeled as uninsurable. Please note the following important information regarding charges, health insurance and health insurance information:
- We will not bill you or your son or daughter for those services – only the insurance company. We will pay any member responsibilities.
- You will receive an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) in the mail or online each time a charge is filed. Your EOB will reflect charges from New Roc Athletics, as this is the name of the clinic treating your child. THIS IS NOT A BILL. Please send us this EOB and we will take care of any amounts due. You can send us this by email: sportsmedicine@monroeu.edu or by fax: 914-813-1265
