Assistant Track & Field Coach

ALL JUMPS — HORIZONTAL & VERTICAL

Overall Team Recruiting responsibilities. The position supports student-athlete development, recruiting, academic support, practice and competition preparation, compliance, sportsmanship and team operations.

Coaching
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; previous coaching experience in the specific coaching field recommended, with two years or more preferred.

Reports To: Head Track & Field Coach

Key Responsibilities: Recruiting, NCAA Division II compliance, academic support, practice and competition preparation, student-athlete supervision, statistics, equipment management and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

Additional Requirement: Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.

Assistant Track & Field Coach

OVERALL TEAM RECRUITING

This position supports the Track & Field program through recruiting, student-athlete development, academic support, NCAA Division II compliance, team operations and competition preparation.

Athletic Training Opportunities

Athletic Trainer

Full-Time
$66,500 – $68,000

The Athletic Trainer works under the supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine, Director of Athletics and Team Physician to provide athletic training care to student-athletes competing in Monroe University's athletic program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prevention, evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries and illnesses
  • Rehabilitation and management of injuries
  • Collaboration with the sports medicine and athletic department staff
  • Assistance with yearly physicals
  • Student-athlete counseling and education
  • Home game and practice coverage
  • Travel to away games
  • Recordkeeping and EMR documentation
  • Maintenance of the athletic training room

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training with collegiate athletics experience
  • National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification certification
  • New York State Athletic Training Licensure
  • Emergency Cardiac Care Certification
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel and communicate effectively with a diverse university community

Head Football Athletic Trainer

Full-Time
$75,000 – $80,000

The Head Football Athletic Trainer works under the supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine, Director of Athletics and Team Physician to provide athletic training care to student-athletes. The position is responsible for the football program and a less-intensive secondary sport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary athletic training coverage for football
  • Coverage for a less-intensive secondary sport
  • Prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries
  • Home practice and competition coverage
  • Travel to away games
  • Student-athlete counseling and education
  • Recordkeeping and EMR documentation
  • Collaboration with doctors and allied health professionals
  • Maintenance of the athletic training room

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience with football
  • National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification certification
  • New York State Athletic Training Licensure
  • Emergency Cardiac Care Certification
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and flexible schedules
  • Ability to travel
