Men's Indoor Track Earn Multiple USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La.–The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2026 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Regional Awards, recognizing the top athletes and coaches across each region of the country. The Monroe University men's track and field program earned multiple honors in the Atlantic Region following a strong indoor season.

Highlighting the awards, Monroe University's coaching staff was named the USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Men's Coaching Staff of the Year featuring head coach Shirvon Greene and assistant coach Jimmy Ascencio as they led the Mustangs to a successful indoor campaign that featured national qualifiers, record-breaking performances, and multiple podium finishes.

In addition, Modou Sanneh was recognized as the Atlantic Region Men's Track Athlete of the Year, honoring the top male performer in the region following a season that included nationally ranked marks and standout performances at major meets.

The regional awards recognize the most outstanding performers and coaches throughout the indoor track and field season and are voted on by coaches from member institutions.

The Mustangs' recognition at the regional level underscores the continued growth of the Monroe track & field program and its presence among the top programs in the NJCAA.
