STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.–The Monroe University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet on Friday to close out its regular season slate.

Only fielding a small contingent of runners, the Mustangs finished strong.

Four Mustangs had personal best performances across various events. Sophomore Micah McHardy competed in both the 60m and 400m dashes. McHardy ran a personal best time of 7.63 in the 60m and a personal best time of 53.56 in the 400m. Freshman Jazir Harris ran a personal best time of 55.20 in the 400m.
Keba Cisse competed in the 200m and ran a personal best time of 23.70. He also jumped a distance of 5.70m in the long jump. Sophomore Elijah Upsher competed in both the long jump and 200m. Upsher equaled his PR in the 200m with a time of 23.94, and he also jumped a distance of 6.19m.
Freshman Yassine Rahoui ran a time of 1:57.06 in the 800m, freshman Boitshepo Mashilo placed first overall in the 1000m , he ran a time of 2:33.61 in the 1000m, Freshman Nkanyezi Ziqubu, ran a time of 4:41.21 in the mile.

After eight indoor events, the Mustangs will prepare for NJCAA Nationals next week from Friday, March 6 to Saturday, March 7.
