NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., April 5, 2019 – Due to inclement weather, Friday's baseball doubleheader between the Monroe College Mustangs baseball team and ASA College has been postponed. The games will be made up on Tuesday, April 23, at 12 p.m. at Dick Caswell Field. The Mustangs and Avengers were also originally scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 6. This doubleheader has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 24, beginning at 3 p.m.
The Mustangs will now play next on Tuesday, April 9, when they visit Lackawanna College for a doubleheader in Scranton, Pa. Game 1 is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 28 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus as of the fall of 2017, has nine varsity and junior varsity teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
