NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.–The Monroe University women's basketball team (23-6 overall) was named the No. 21 seed in the 2026 NJCAA Division I National Championship tournament on Monday night.

The Mustangs will face No. 12 Three Rivers CC (26-5 overall) in Lake Charles, La. on Wednesday, March 25, at 2:30 p.m. CT. This will be the Mustangs' first time facing the Raiders in program history.
Monroe captured its third NJCAA District title on March 8 after it defeated No. 2 seeded Harford 85-69.

The Mustangs will enter the NJCAA D1 tournament for the fifth time in program history. They also head into the tournament on a 17-game winning streak.

Monroe will go for its first NJCAA Division I Tournament victory as they have gone 0-4 in their history at the championship.
