Monroe Delivers Statement Performance in 107–15 Win Over Raritan Valley

New Rochelle, NY - Monroe University turned in a record setting performance on Thursday night, overwhelming Raritan Valley Community College, 107–15, at the MAC. The Mustangs improved to 13–6 on the season, controlling the game from the opening tip and never allowing the visitors to gain traction.

Monroe set the tone early with relentless defensive pressure and efficient offensive execution, building a 26–6 advantage after the first quarter. The Mustangs continued to dictate the pace in the second period, holding Raritan Valley to five points and carrying a commanding 50–11 lead into halftime.

The momentum carried into the second half, as Monroe outscored the visitors 25–4 in the third quarter before closing the contest with a decisive 32–0 fourth-quarter run.

Monroe shot 45.1 percent from the field and connected on 18 three-pointers, while forcing 30 turnovers and converting them into 41 points. The Mustangs also dominated the glass, outrebounding Raritan Valley 68–27, and recorded 27 assists on 41 made field goals.

Hellary De Los Santos led Monroe with 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting, adding eight rebounds and three blocks in limited action. Angie Tirado followed with 15 points, knocking down five three-pointers, while Sydney Huskey contributed 13 points, five assists, and three steals. Sheridan Oberhand added 12 points off the bench, and all 13 Mustangs who saw action scored.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE UNIVERSITY
The athletic program at Monroe University encompasses a total of 26 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as the Monroe University marching band, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
