SCHEDULE UPDATES: Softball and JV Baseball have Season Openers Delayed

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., February 28, 2019 – Due to expected inclement weather over the weekend, the Monroe College softball and JV baseball teams have been forced to delay their season openers, which were both scheduled for Saturday, March 2.

The softball team was slated to visit Harford Community College on Saturday for a season-opening doubleheader. The doubleheader has now been postponed, with a makeup date yet to be announced. The Mustangs will play Manhattanville College in an exhibition doubleheader on Sunday, March 3, before opening the regular season down in Myrtle Beach, S.C. at the Ripken Experience, beginning March 9.

The JV baseball team was scheduled to host SUNY Adirondack for a doubleheader at Roberto Clemente State Park in the Bronx on Saturday, but those games have been canceled. The Mustangs will open 2019 on Saturday, March 9, with a doubleheader at Westchester Community College.
