NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Monroe University track and field teams achieved significant academic recognition in July, with both squads receiving 2026 USTFCCCA Track & Field All-Academic Team honors for their academic performance throughout the season. Besides the overall team awards, five student-athletes were named to the 2026 USTFCCCA Track & Field All-Academic Athletes list.
The Mustangs men's track and field team finished with the eighth best team GPA, tallying a 3.58 on the year. The women's team, which was selected as an NJCAA Academic Team Award winner for both seasons, finished tenth overall on the list of qualifying teams with a 3.46 team GPA. Teams qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award by earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Five student-athletes, comprising three from the men's team and two from the women's team, all earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete status by accumulating. 3.40 GPA. The following Mustangs were honored by the USTFCCCA:
