Men’s & Women's Outdoor Track and Field Competes at Penn Relays

RESULTS 

Philadelphia, PA–
The Monroe University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the prestigious Penn Relays this weekend, with the men's 4x400m relay team and Analissa Redmond in the women's long jump both competing in the event.
 
The quartet of sophomore Cleon Joseph, freshman Shaquane Toussaint, and sophomores Christian Gabriel and Modou Sanneh finished with a time of 3:14.72 in the race. Joseph opened the race with a 48.50 split on the first leg to set the tone. Toussaint followed with a 47.26 split on the second leg. Gabriel handled the third leg in 52.77 before handing the baton to Sanneh, who anchored the team in a time of 45.79. 

Freshman Analissa Redmond participated in the women's long jump; she jumped a distance of 5.49 m.

The Mustang men will head to Queens, NY, to take part in the Tom Farrell Classic hosted by St. John's University on Saturday.
