BRONX, N.Y. – The Monroe University men's volleyball team (11-14 overall) dropped a match against Bryant & Strattan College (WI) in straight sets (25-20, 25-21, and 25-20) on Friday night. The Mustangs also honored their four sophomores prior to the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
·     The Mustangs were held to nine kills in the first set while the Bobcats had 15.
·     The Bobcats sealed the first set win with three-straight points in the first set to close the win.
·     In the second set, the Mustangs only tallied five kills while the Bobcats tallied 10.
·     Four straight points from 16 to 19 by the Bobcats sealed the set victory for them.
·     In the third set, the Mustangs only tallied eight points while the Bobcats tallied 10.
·     A three-point run from 9 to 11 sealed the victory for the Bobcats in the set and the match.
STATS AND NOTES
·     Yensy Rodriguez led the Mustangs in kills with 12 and in blocks with four.
·     Hudson Irving led the Mustangs in assists with 11.
·     Roy Cepada led the Mustangs in digs with seven.
·     Bryant and Strattan College leads the all-time series 1-0.

·     The Mustangs return to action on Saturday, April 4, when they face Hostos and Borough of Manhattan Community College. Game-time begins at 12:00 p.m.
