BEL AIR, Md.–The No. 1 seeded Monroe men's basketball team captured their 10th NJCAA district championship as they downed No. 3 seeded Harcum 97-52 on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
·     Monroe dominated the first half, holding Harcum to just 13 points while Monroe put up 40.
·     Naceiar Kirksey led the Mustangs in the first half with 12 points off three three-pointers and going 4-8 from the field.
·     The Mustangs' defense forced 12 turnovers in the opening half while also causing three steals.
·     In the second half, the Mustangs tallied 56 points while holding Harcum to 39.
·     Kirksey led the Mustangs in the second half in points with nine, while the defense forced seven turnovers, which aided in the Mustangs' 97-52 victory.
STATS AND NOTES
·     With the win, the Mustangs captured their 10th District Championship title and second straight title since 2025.
·     Monroe advances to their 12 NJCAA National Basketball Tournament with the win.
·     Kirksey tallied his 11th 20-point plus game of the season.
·     Monroe owns the all-time series history against Harcum 24-19.
