Monroe Mustangs Football to Host Final Two Homes Games at The Stadium at Memorial Field in Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y., October 30, 2023 – The Monroe College football team will have a new home for the final two home games of the 2023 regular season. Monroe College will be hosting Lackawanna College on Nov. 4, and Snow College on Nov. 11, at The Stadium at Memorial Field in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
 
The $40 million project to renovate the old Memorial Field location in Mount Vernon was completed in September 2022 and became The Stadium at Memorial Field. The new stadium has 3,900 seats below a brand new press box, and a lighted field where football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey can be played. The site also features an eight-lane track, three tennis courts, a skate park and a sound system capable of handling handle major concerts and events.
 
Monroe College will play host to No. 14-ranked Lackawanna College this Saturday, Nov. 4, at 4 p.m. at the new stadium. The Mustangs will then welcome in No. 4 Snow College for the first time ever on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m.
 
STADIUM AND GAME-DAY INFORMATION
The Stadium at Memorial Field is located at 431 Garden Ave., Mount Vernon, NY 10553.
 
Tickets
$5 per ticket (CASH ONLY)
Free of charge for College Students with College ID
Free of charge for children ages 12-and-under
Tickets will be available for purchase ONLY at the box office just outside the stadium gates.
All tickets are general admission.
NOTE: At the moment, there is no ATM on-site at the stadium.

Fan Bus
For students needing transportation to the stadium, fan buses will be leaving from in front of Allison Hall on Saturday at 3:00 PM.

Parking
Parking is available free of charge in two parking facilities located across two adjacent streets surrounding the stadium. Fans attending Monroe College games at the stadium can park on the ground level of the Best Buy parking garage located to the west of the stadium, or on the second floor of the Target parking garage located to the south of the stadium.
 
Concessions
Concessions will be available at the stadium's concession stand located just inside the main gate to the stadium.
 
Entry Policy:
Each fan may bring in two (2) FACTORY SEALED clear containers of bottled water. No refillable bottles or other containers will be allowed inside unless they are emptied.
No other outside food or beverage will be permitted into the stadium, including, but not limited to:
  • Alcohol
  • Seeds, nuts, or items with shells
  • Sports drinks, soda, coffee
  • Glass bottles or containers
 
The following are PROHIBITED at Memorial Field:
  • Illegal drugs
  • Firearms and/or concealed weapons
  • Fireworks
  • Animals of any kind (other than service animals)
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades
 
No Smoking within the Memorial Field perimeter.
No giveaways / handing out of materials.
 
Bag Policy:
  • Any bag being brought into the venue will be searched at the main gates prior to entering. Any prohibited items listed will be turned away.
  • Please, no coolers or strollers.
 
 
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 28 teams competing across nine sports. There are 20 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well the Monroe College marching band, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
