Mustangs Name Tim Farina Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Director of Athletics Luis Melendez announced Tuesday the hiring of Tim Farina as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Monroe University Athletics.

Farina joins the Mustangs after serving as the full-time strength and conditioning coach at Kansas Wesleyan University, a role he began in 2024.

Prior to that, he was the strength and conditioning coach at the United States Coast Guard Academy, where he oversaw training for 19 NCAA Division III varsity programs and contributed to the development of multiple national champions. During his tenure, he also implemented a power-based assessment system designed to measure athlete fatigue and performance readiness.

In summer 2024, Farina completed an internship with the University of Connecticut, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the Division I football program. His responsibilities included daily supervision and instruction of speed and strength training sessions.

He previously served as a sports performance intern at Yale University in 2020, where he contributed to quantitative analysis of on-field football performance metrics.

Earlier in his career, Farina was an assistant football coach and video coordinator at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2019–20, assisting with offensive game planning and game management.

A graduate of Becker College, Farina was a four-time all-conference offensive lineman (2012–16). He also played professionally in France for one season and represented the United States at the 2016 World University Championship Games.
