Appointed Assistant Athletic Director/Assistant Compliance and Recruiting Coordinator in August 2022, he provides strategic direction for NCAA and conference compliance efforts while also serving as Camp Coordinator. In this role, Chad provides oversight of eligibility certification, rules education, and comprehensive monitoring systems, while partnering with coaches and senior leadership to safeguard institutional integrity, manage risk, and ensure full compliance with NCAA and conference standards across all athletic programs.

Previously, he served for 10 years as Assistant Director of the Hennessy and Fitness Center, where he held primary responsibility for facility operations and long-term planning. Duesler's baseball coaching career began as Associate Head Baseball Coach at Dominican University immediately following his collegiate playing career, quickly establishing a reputation for player development and program leadership. He then spent four seasons with the Rockland County Boulders of the Can-Am League, beginning in 2011 as a bullpen catcher and first base coach before being activated to the team roster. From 2012 to 2014, he served as bench coach, where he played a key role in shaping player performance, managing day-to-day team operations, and navigating the demands of professional athletics, further honing his expertise in coaching strategy and organizational leadership.

A former standout student-athlete, Duesler enjoyed a distinguished four-year career at Dominican College, consistently excelling at the plate while demonstrating leadership on and off the field. He posted batting averages of .351, .322, .317, and .367 from freshman through senior year, finishing his career with 133 hits, 98 RBIs, and 24 doubles. His exceptional performance earned him the 2005 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament Most Valuable Player award, and he was a key member of the Dominican College baseball team that set the program record for most wins in a single season.

Duesler is a 2006 graduate of Dominican College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He strengthened his leadership and administrative expertise by completing a master's degree in Organizational Leadership and Communication from Dominican College in 2021, equipping him with advanced skills in organizational management, strategic planning, and team leadership.

At Monroe University, Duesler will spearhead the institution's transition from NJCAA to NCAA, providing strategic leadership for all compliance initiatives, including eligibility monitoring, rules education, and reporting. He will work collaboratively with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes to ensure the highest standards of integrity across the athletics program while advancing student-athlete success both on the field and in the classroom. In this role, he will play a central part in shaping Monroe University Athletics' long-term vision and establishing a foundation for sustained competitive and organizational excellence.

"We are excited to welcome Chad to Monroe University and confident he will be an outstanding leader within our athletics department," said Luis Melendez.
