In set two, eight of Monroe's ten aces on the day helped propel it to a 25-17 victory. Pecora led the way with three solo scores, followed by two apiece from Peric and freshman Fabiana Lopez. Freshman Mileyshka Melendez rounded out the total with an ace on the 23rd point of the set.
Closing out the contest, the Mustangs battled a back-and-forth start to comfortably win, 25-15. Carroll tied it at ten after a service ace, but Monroe responded with a purpose, rattling off seven of the last eight scores to take a 17-11 advantage.
From there, the Mustangs coasted to victory, capping off their night with back-to-back kills from Peric. The Bosnia and Herzegovina native led the way with 15 kills on the night, while Lopez and Pecora collected nine and eight kills, respectively
