NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., December 7, 2021 – The Monroe College Mustangs JV men's basketball team earned its second win of the season on Sunday, defeating Herkimer College JV, 73-63, at the Monroe Athletic Complex. The Mustangs improve to 2-5 overall with the win, while the Generals fall to 0-1.

Thomas Paasewe had his best game of the season so far in the win. He totaled 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and two points.
Travis Huggins registered a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 14 boards.
Richie Guillaume kept his run of double-doubles going, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds for his sixth double-double in as many games. He narrowly missed his first triple-double after dishing out nine assists.

The Mustangs return to action on Friday, Dec. 10, when they visit the New York Military Academy in Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 35 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 14 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
