NORFOLK, Va., December 28, 2018 – The Monroe College Mustangs JV men's basketball team dropped a 71-62 decision to the Bryant & Stratton College VIT team Friday evening. The Mustangs fall to 7-5 on the season, while the Bobcats improve to 10-0.
 
Aaron Burton had a huge game for the Mustangs, scoring 29 points with 10 rebounds for a double-double, adding three blocks as well. Anthony Monti added nine points and five boards. Javandre House scored eight points off the bench.
 
The Mustangs will look to bounce back tomorrow, Dec. 29, when they visit Stratford College in Newport News, Va. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
 
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 27 teams competing across nine sports. There are 18 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus as of the fall of 2017, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
