New Rochelle, NY – The Monroe College JV Basketball took a 78-55 loss against Our Saviour Lutheran School on Sunday in the MAC. The team is now 11-12 on the season.
Monroe got off to a slow start, trailing 7-0 just 1:30 into action. A
James Brady three-pointer at 18:10 made the score 7-3. Another Brady bucket made the score 7-5, but Monroe could get no closer. The OSL lead got up to 15 points with 6:30 left. Trailing 30-15, the Mustangs got buckets from
Mario Hernandez and
Nolen Irby and a three-pointer from
Michael-Roy Miller to bring them within eight points, 30-22. They trailed at the half, 37-24.
In the second half, the deficit never got into single digits, and Our Saviour Lutheran went on to a 78-55 win. In the game, Brady led all scorers with 16 points.
Kenwyn Christian scored 11.
Lamontrell Rice had six points and three steals.
The Monroe College JV Basketball team will return to action on Friday, February 17
th, against the Robinson School in Newark, New Jersey at 1:00 PM.
