New Rochelle, N.Y. – The Monroe College JV Basketball team defeated the College of New Rochelle, 88-66, in a game played at CNR's Wellness Center on Tuesday. Five Mustangs reached double figures in scoring in the win.

Monroe led by 12 at the half en route to a 22-point win. The first six minutes of action saw the Mustangs jump out to a 19-5 lead.
Nolen Irby made a pair of three-pointers,
Kenwyn Christian scored five in the stretch,
James Brady totaled four,
Andre Morgan made a basket, and
Michael-Roy Miller added two. The lead got as large as 23 points in the first half, when a Brady trifecta made the score 31-8 with 9:52 left. They led at the break, 44-32.

The Blue Angels never got the deficit back into single digits. The lead got as high as 24 points on an Irby layup. The team went on to win, 88-66.

In the victory, Brady posted game bests with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Mario Hernandez came off the bench to finish with 15, Irby had 13, Christian scored a dozen and Miller shot 4-7 to finish with ten points.
Brian Kennedy saw his first action of the season.
The Monroe College JV Basketball team has improved to 10-10 on the season with the victory. They will host Prestige Prep at 5:00 PM on Thursday.
