Nathalya “Natt” Escalante, MS, ATC is an athletic trainer originally from Connecticut. She has a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University that she obtained in May 2023. Additionally, Natt received her Bachelors in Kinesiology and a minor in coaching in May 2020 at New England College. She was also a member of the New England College women’s lacrosse team and served as a sports medicine intern with the field hockey program. The dedication demonstrated by her own athletic trainers sparked a passion to pass those lessons down to other athletes in need of care.
She is certified in CPR, AED and adult mental health first aid. Natt likes to treat her athletes as individuals — not only treating them for their physical injuries, but also offering support for the athletes overall.
She has loads of clinical experience, which started at Stratford High School. She expanded her knowledge when she took on a role with Sacred Heart, where she supported three Division I teams in men’s basketball, women’s rugby and women’s rowing. She then transitioned to the University of Bridgeport where she worked with the women’s soccer team. In November 2022, Natt then joined the Monroe staff as a student athletic trainer, helping to oversee the men’s and women’s basketball programs. One more clinical rotation with Trumbull High School then redirected Natt back to Monroe in the fall of 2023.
In 2022, Natt served as a medical volunteer at the ASICS Falmouth Road Race and the TCS New York Marathon.
Natt's favorite thing to do in her free time is go to the beach and taking and editing photos. Her favorite musical artist is Young Miko and her favorite food is pho and shrimp dumplings. She also owns a Husky named Stormy.
