Edison Sanchez

Monroe College alumnus Edison Sanchez was named Head Coach of the Women's Soccer Program in January of 2017.

Most recently, Sanchez served as the Associate Head Coach for the Monroe College men’s soccer program.  He joined the staff prior to the 2014-15 season and was part of the group that made a pair of appearances in the national championship game.  He has also coached the reserves for the past two seasons.
 
As a player, Sanchez played at Monroe from 2010-2012.  As a midfielder, the Guayaquil, Ecuador native was a member of the first Monroe College men’s team to appear in the national championship game. 

From there, he went on to win an NAIA national championship with the team at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi.  Sanchez also spent time with the Red Bulls U-14 to U-23 teams.

Coach Sanchez is a native of Guayaquil Ecuador.
