David Lopez joined the Monroe Mustangs’ Softball team for the 2018 season.
Prior to joining the Mustangs, Lopez served as the head coach of Holy Child Junior High School from 2015 to 2017.
Previously, Lopez served as the Assistant Coach at Millennium High School in Lower Manhattan from 2014-2015. In 2015, Lopez also formed a self-run, independent Fastpitch Softball Travel Team, the New York Lady Titans, consisting of players ages 13 to 18 years old. Responsible for the entirety of the networking and fundraising, as well as the coaching, Lopez led the Lady Titans to ten championships and an undefeated title in three leagues in 2015.
Lopez began his coaching career training his youngest daughter and coaching nine and ten year olds, in 2010 as part of the Throggs Neck Fastpitch Softball League.
Lopez lives with his wife and two daughters.
