Monror College Athletics

The only returning player from last year’s team that finished fifth in the nation, there’s a lot expected of Maurice and there’s every possibility that he can meet those expectations and even surpass them.  A slender and mobile player, Maurice’s long reach and hoops IQ make him a proficient shot-blocker. He’s a skilled player who runs the floor well. In addition to his physical size and athleticism, he can shoot the ball from a variety of spots on the floor.  His desire to achieve on and off the court was on display not only at the MAC for Mustang fans, but on the YES network as he was featured on TV during his freshman season.   Last season he averaged 9.4 ppg and 6.4 rpg, and 2.1 bpg.  This year, those are considered starting points for this potential-unlimited star because he came to his sophomore year having improved all phases of his game: shooting, ball handling, and his strength under the boards. 
 
Maurice is an excellent student. He went to high school in Japan and won a contest there for proficiency in speaking Japanese by a foreigner.  He speaks five languages.
