Luedy is another success story about how persistance and determination ultimately payoff. After falling just shy of making last year's varsity team Luedy set out to prove that he indeed belonged at the varisty level. Last season while playing for Monroe's junior varsity team, Luedy finished the season batting over .300 as the everyday thrid hitter in the lineup. As a result he took home the 2013 JV Most Valuable Player Award.
