Charlotte, NC - Monroe University sophomore Libero Emma Dedushaj has been selected as a Second Team All-American, as announced Tuesday by the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Committee. The honor recognizes Dedushaj as one of the nation's top defensive standouts following a dominant 2025 season.
Dedushaj anchored Monroe's back row with relentless defensive presence and high-IQ positioning from start to finish. The sophomore finished the year with 786 digs, averaging 6.55 per set, while adding 45 receptions. Her consistency and control in serve receive, paired with her ability to turn defense into transition offense, made her a crucial component in Monroe's success throughout the season.
Beyond the statistics, Dedushaj brought energy, leadership, and accountability that elevated the Mustangs' defensive identity every time she stepped on the court.
With this honor, Dedushaj adds her name to the growing list of Mustangs who have left a lasting mark on the program.
