Randolph, NJ – The Monroe University women's volleyball team extended its win streak to 15 games with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-16) road victory over the County College of Morris on Wednesday.
The Mustangs are 21-1 since their showing at the OWT Tournament to begin the season. They've won 15 games in three sets, including tonight's win in New Jersey.
Outscoring the Titans 54-25, the Mustangs once again used an efficient offense and defense to overwhelm the opponent. Freshman
Adriana Garcia led the way with 11 kills on 17 attempts, while defensively, sophomore
Emma Dedushaj paced the team with 20 of 55 total digs.
On the night, nine players recorded a kill and ten players recorded a dig. All 14 Mustangs competed as the team flexed its depth in the straight set victory.
Monroe will head to Tennessee for the Walters State Invitational this weekend. The four-game slate begins on Friday against Walters State College at 10:00 am, followed by a matchup against Pellissippi State Community College at 2:00 pm.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE UNIVERSITY
The athletic program at Monroe University encompasses a total of 26 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as the Monroe University marching band, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
