The Caimans scored the first five points of the second half, but Kelton and Melvin Council Jr. responded with a pair of threes, followed by a pair of free throws by Kelton, to make it a 60-33 game. Council and Stefano Faloppa later hit back-to-back threes to push Monroe's lead to 33 points. The Mustangs began to get to the line a bunch midway through the half, scoring eight straight points, six from the free-throw line, to make it an 82-44 game with 10:28 to play. A pair of free throws by Albert Vargas put the Mustangs at the century mark with a 100-54 lead with 4:46 on the clock.
