BALTIMORE, Md., January 20, 2023 – For the second time in the last three games, the No. 12-ranked Monroe College Mustangs men's basketball team hit the century mark, this time in a 100-72 victory at Baltimore City Community College on Thursday. The Mustangs improve to 20-2 overall with their 10th straight win, while the Panthers fall to 5-7.

Melvin Council Jr. led the way with 28 points in the win.
Hamdel Mohammed was close behind with a season-high 21 points in the game.
Nikola Danicic provided 11 points for Monroe off the bench.
Albert Vargas and
Stefano Faloppa each tallied eight points in Thursday's victory.
The Mustangs get back to work on Saturday, Jan. 21, when they host Lackawanna College at the Monroe Athletic Complex. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. following the Mustangs vs. Falcons women's matchup.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 35 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well the Monroe College marching band and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 11 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
