NEWPORT, R.I., November 16, 2019 – The Monroe College Mustangs JV men's basketball team dropped a 63-47 decision at the Naval Preparatory Academy Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs drop to 2-2 on the season with the loss, while Navy Prep improves to 5-1.
Jerald Campbell led the Mustangs with 12 points on the afternoon, adding four rebounds and two blocked shots.
Luis Quinones was next with 10 points and two steals.
Jedidiah Ashton scored eight points, pulled down four boards and stole the ball three times.
The Mustangs will look to bounce back on Thursday, Nov. 21, with another road contest at Suffolk County Community College in Selden, N.Y. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I).
