BEL AIR, Md., December 7, 2017 – The Monroe College men's basketball team dropped a 100-79 decision at Harford Community College Thursday evening. The Mustangs fall to 7-5 on the year, while Harford improves to 6-5.

Thomas Binelli scored the first five points for the Mustangs, including a three that put them up, 5-4, in the first two minutes. The Fighting Owls then went on an 11-4 run over the next three minutes to take a 15-9 advantage. Another big run for the home team led to Harford taking a 32-16 edge with 7:34 left in the half. The Fighting Owls extended their lead to as many as 27 points, but the Mustangs closed out the half with a 7-0 run, capped off by a Clifton Tracey three, leaving Monroe with a 53-33 deficit at the break.

Harford kept its momentum going early in the second half, taking a 78-48 edge midway through the period. Monroe later went on a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to 18, but that was as close as the Mustangs would get the rest of the way.
