Bel Air, Md. - The Monroe College volleyball team improved to 27-0 with a pair of 3-0 wins over Hagerstown and Harford over the weekend. The scores against Hagerstown were 25-21, 25-22 and 25-23. They defeated Harford 25-13, 25-17 and 25-15.
In the win over Hagerstown,
Cristen Coryatt had a match-best 14 kills.
Barbara Maximiano chipped in with 10.
Indira Rojas had 29 assists and
Ashley Ramos fell just short of a double-double, totaling nine kills and ten digs. Against the Fighting Owls, it was Maximiano who led the way with ten kills and seven digs.
The Monroe College volleyball team returns to action on Friday, October 9, when they travel to Hickory, North Carolina to participate in the Catawba College Invitational. The action on Friday begins at 3:30 PM against Spartanburg Methodist College.
