Melvin Council Jr. got off to a great start for the Mustangs this past week, helping lead them to a 3-0 start to the season. He averaged a double-double with 15.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, as well as 6.3 assists per game to lead the team in all three categories. Council had double-doubles in both games at the Richard Bland Statesmen Classic down in Virginia.
