Joe Morris is a Syosset, New York native and a graduate of Syosset High School. He returns to Monroe after four years of experience coaching and recruiting at the NCAA Division I level, bringing a strong background in player development, strength and conditioning, and recruiting.
Morris previously served at Monroe’s Bronx campus from 2019–2021 as the Hitting Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach. From 2021–2023, he was on staff at Wagner College as the Hitters and Outfield Coach, helping guide the program to conference runner-up finishes in both seasons. He then spent the 2023–2025 seasons at Norfolk State University as the Recruiting Coordinator, playing a key role in roster construction and talent evaluation.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Morris worked as an assistant coach in the prestigious Northwoods League during the summer of 2023 with Fond du Lac (Wisconsin), gaining valuable experience in one of the nation’s top summer collegiate leagues.
As part of the staff, Coach Morris will oversee the strength and conditioning program while also serving as the Hitting and Outfield Coach and contributing to recruiting efforts.
Morris played four seasons at NCAA Division II Queens College, earning Second Team All-Conference honors in 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies with a minor in Journalism and earned his MBA in Media Management from Wagner College.
