A native of Queens, New York, Brandon Jacobs enters his first season on the coaching staff for the Monroe University men's basketball program.
Prior to joining Monroe, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Pace University, helping guide the Setters to the program's first-ever conference championship appearance. Before his stint on the sidelines in Pleasantville, Jacobs served as a graduate assistant at Hofstra University during the 2023 season, contributing to a campaign that captured the program's regular-season championship.

A multi-time All-NE10 and All-Met selection and multi-year team captain, he graduated as the program's all-time leader in assists. Over 118 career games, Jacobs amassed over 1,500 points and averaged 5.6 assists per game, highlighted by a historic 2019-20 campaign where he led the conference with 7.8 assists per contest while setting program records for single-season (234) and single-game (19) assists. He earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Pace in 2022.
