Melbourne, FL – The No. 16 Monroe University men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to No. 8 Eastern Florida State College on Saturday evening.
An early goal from the Titans was responded to quickly by the Mustangs, as freshman Kelvin Yengbie found fellow freshman
Braxton Richards for the equalizer in the 23rd minute.
Despite sophomore
Alvaro Ramos putting together nine saves on the night, he couldn't stop Eastern Florida State from breaking through in the 76th minute.
At 6-4-1, the Mustangs will begin postseason play at the East District Championship Tournament on Saturday, October 26, at 5:00 pm against No. 20 Monroe Community College at Skidelsky Field.
