NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., December 4, 2022 – Taking on the Monroe Express JV team for the third time this season, the Monroe College Mustangs JV women's basketball team dropped a 78-41 final score to the Express on Sunday at the Monroe Athletic Complex.
The Mustangs' 41 points were their highest total through four games so far in the team's inaugural season. Destiny Williams led the way with 13 points on the afternoon on 6-of-9 shooting.

Jalissa Fatorma and Anais Rosa all picked up seven points in the game, with Fatorma leading the team with eight rebounds. Azareth Santos finished second on the team with seven boards.
The Mustangs are back in action next Sunday, Dec. 11, with a road matchup just down the road at Iona University Club. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 35 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well the Monroe College marching band and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 11 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
