HISTORY
The Mustangs are back in the NJCAA Div. I Men's Soccer Championship for the first time since their 2019 Championship season. The Mustangs have historically been championship contenders, but finally took home the trophy in 2019, one year after the Mustangs women's soccer team won the national championship for the second time. The magical 2019 season saw the Mustangs finish a perfect 18-0-0, just one of six times the NJCAA Champion has ever finished the season without a loss or tie.
The Mustangs have never played either of their Pool C opponents in Jefferson College and Angelina College. Jefferson is making its sixth appearance in the NJCAA Div. I Men's Soccer Championship, earning its way in as the Midwest District Champions. Angelina gets into the tournament as an at-large team just like the Mustangs, having lost its District Championship to No. 2 Tyler Junior College.
