Brockton, Mass. - The Mustangs played Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Massachusetts
on Saturday, winning the match 3-0. The team's record for the season now stands at 7-0.
Monroe sophomore
Jorge Paez, one of eight returning players, scored the first goal of the game on a free kick from the top of the 18-yard box. It was Paez's fifth goal of the season.
Monroe doubled its lead shortly thereafter when
Luiz Soupinski played a cross into the box for
Jamal Manley West, who scored his first goal of the season. The third goal came from
Gabriel Machado, his fifth for the season, who scored off a pass from
Lucas Vaz. The Mustangs went on to win, 3-0.
Monroe's Men's Soccer team next plays on
Tuesday, September 20, at
3:30 when they face Ulster Community College on the road.
