New Rochelle, N.Y. - The Monroe College soccer team, currently ranked #3 in the nation, hopes to secure its fifth consecutive Region XV championship this Saturday, October 31 as it hosts archrival ASA College at 7:00p.m. in New Rochelle's City Park.

The Mustangs and Avengers met earlier in the season, on the Friday of homecoming weekend.  Monroe prevailed over ASA, 1-0, in a thriller that saw Nicholas Haas find Evan Finnegan for the goal during the first possession of overtime for the Mustangs.

Last season, these two highly competitive sides met in this very same match-up, and Monroe forged ahead 5-0.  The victory catapulted the team into the national championship game, where they finished as the second-best team in the country.

There will be a Mustangs fan bus going to the game, which will leave from in front of Allison Hall at 6:30p.m. For those unable to make it to City Park on Saturday, a live video stream of the contest available will be available HERE.
