Sunao Yamamoto provided the game-winning goal that sent the Monroe College Mustangs men's soccer team back to the NJCAA Div. I Men's Soccer Championship tournament. Monroe's East District Championship game at Skidelsky Field against Montgomery College went scoreless through the first 90 minutes, sending the game to overtime. After 10 scoreless minutes, the game went into another overtime period. In the 105th minute, Felipe Jaime Arruda found Yamamoto at the top of the box, where he fired off the keeper and into the net for the golden goal that claimed the East District Title for the Mustangs. Yamamoto also provided an assist in the Mustangs' 2-0 victory over Monroe Community College on Wednesday in the East District Semifinals.
