Xavier Belton was a dominant force on the Monroe Mustangs' defensive line in a 31-13 season-opening victory at Div. III No. 5 Nassau Community College. Belton led the Mustangs with nine tackles in the game, including two tackles for loss and a half sack. He also forced a crucial fumble on Nassau's opening drive of the game, setting up Monroe's second touchdown that gave the Mustangs a 14-0 lead.
