Kayla Johnson had a terrific weekend at the Colonial Relays in Virginia. She competed twice on Friday, and earned qualification for the 2023 NJCAA Div. I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in both events despite limited rest. Johnson first ran in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:18.00 to surpass the qualifying standard for the race. She then ran in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 4:55.87 to claim her spot at the national meet in the 1500m.
