Leanisse Solano of the Gulf Atlantic District A Champion Mustangs was named the Gulf Atlantic District Championship Most Valuable Player for the second year in a row. Across a 4-0 weekend in which the Mustangs won all 12 sets they played, Solano averaged 4.5 kills and 3.25 digs per set. She had at least 11 kills in every match, including a weekend high of 16 in a semifinal match against Wallace State. Solano also registered two double-doubles across the weekend.
