Diego Batista scored three times this week, including a pair of crucial goals in Sunday's win over D2 No. 2 CCBC Essex. After the Mustangs fell behind at halftime on Sunday, Batista provided the tying goal on a penalty kick early in the second half. CCBC Essex tied the game late in Sunday's contest, but Batista netted the game-winner with just 67 seconds left to play. Batista also provided Monroe's first goal in an 8-1 victory over No. 18 Montgomery College on Friday. Batista is currently tied for the team lead with five goals on the season.
