Karim Belmahdi was part of two record-breaking performances and three podium finishes at this past weekend's 2022 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Pittsburg, Kan. On Friday, Belmahdi ran the lead-off leg of the NJCAA Runner-Up distance medley relay team that finished with a Monroe College record time of 9:53.31. Later that day, he placed fifth in the finals of the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:23.93 to reach the podium in the event. On Sunday, Belmahdi broke Monroe's program record in the mile run with a time of 4:12.75, earning a sixth-place finish in the event to once again reach the podium.
