Hamdel Mohammed played the hero in Sunday's two-point victory over Howard Community College. After the Dragons drew even in the final seconds, Melvin Council Jr. tried to drive the lane, but his shot was defended. However, Mohammed was right there to clean it up, scoring on a put-back to put the Mustangs ahead by two with just 0.8 left on the clock, eventually giving Monroe the win. He had his best game of the season in Sunday's win, finishing with 18 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks.Â
