In Sunday's game, Martinez, the second of the Mustangs one-two punch at the top of their rotation, pitched perhaps his best game of the season. Martinez who leads the Mustangs in strikeouts (30) recoreded eight against the #17 ranked Avengers and was just one out away from picking up his fourth consecutive complete game. He allowed just one unearned run.
